A new object trigger that meets more of your needs

The new Object trigger starts a journey when a person, their relationship, and the related object meet all of your conditions, in any order. Learn more about the new trigger and how it improves upon the classic triggers.

The Object trigger replaces the separate trigger, filter, and audience conditions of the classic triggers with one set of conditions. With the new trigger, you’ll see a number of enhancements:

• Order no longer matters. Classic triggers check your conditions only at the moment an object or relationship changes, so a person who meets your audience conditions later misses the automation. With the Object trigger, people enter when all conditions are true.
• More flexible conditions. Group conditions with OR and nest them, instead of a single list joined by AND.
• Control over re-entry. Choose One time so each relationship enters once, or Every re-match. Classic triggers always use every re-match.
• People exit when they stop matching trigger conditions. By default, people leave the automation when the trigger conditions are no longer true.

Automations running on the classic triggers continue to run as before.
